You are probably curious about the benefits of massage. Whether you're a single parent craving a rub down after a long week with the kids, or you just started working out; there are alot of benefits to getting a monthly massage. Here are some to name a few

Stress relief and relaxation
The number one benefit of massage is stress relief and relaxation. Massage can lower stress levels and feelings of anxiety. It can improve mood and relaxation while increasing confidence and self image. If you're experiencing depression, anxiety, or just overloaded with daily stress, massage can be an effective part of recovery.

Muscle soreness and strain
When your muscles are sore and inflamed, a massage can help loosen tight muscles and increase blood flow to the area encouraging recovery in damaged tissues.

Temporary arthritis and joint pain relief
Arthritis involves swelling and pain in your joints. As your massage therapist kneads and massages muscles, blood flows to your joints providing some temporary relief. Be sure to mention it to your therapist before your session.

Tension headache relief
A tension headache or concentration headache can feel like there's a tight band wrapped around your head. The cause is not fully understood, but this is evidence that massage can provide relief for this kind of headache. Specifically, it helps relieve muscle tension in your head, neck, and shoulders.

Circulation, energy, alertness
Circulatory massage is the most common healing method used for enhancing your proper flow of blood through the entire body providing relaxation to the nervous system. This massage relaxes the tense muscles in the body thus improving energy and alertness.

Most people truly do not understand the benefits that a good professional facial can offer. As a skin care professional, it is my duty to let you know! Many men and women will wait until they have a skin issue of concern(breakout, dry itchy skin, dark spots, etc) or a special event before coming to get a facial. While that's totally fine, these frustrating problems can be solved with a monthly facial. Having a monthly facial is a great self-care investment and here's why
  • A good facial and a good facial massage can smooth fine lines and promote collagen production helping to prevent premature aging, wrinkles and sagging.
  • Facials provide a deeper exfoliation than you can achieve at home. Exfoliation smoothes skin allowing for great penetration of products (moisturizer, serum) unclogged pores, evens skin tone, and improves skin ability to retain hydration.
  • Facials decrease waste underneath the skin that can cause redness, puffiness, and fluid accumulation by manipulating the lymphatic system. Facials aid in the detoxification of skin.
Facials are not a miracle to clear skin but they do give you a fresh start to a healthier and beautiful complexion. Monthly facials will help you maintain optimal skin health.

Why is a consistent skin care regimen at home important?
Good skin care is important at any age. The skin has strong collagen and elastin production in the first few decades of life, but it does decrease. A good skincare routine helps regenerate skin cell production to keep the skin looking and feeling its best. If you just started with a consistent skin care regimen you should have at least a good cleanser, moisturizer with spf to start.

The simple answer is your pillow case gets dirty faster than you think. Your pillow case is built up of oils, dirt, and sweat from daily use. This means they can harbor bacteria and cause allergies. In some cases, your pillowcase can even damage your hair and skin because of the material of the pillow and bacteria.. It's suggested  to change your pillowcase weekly to avoid acne and bacteria build up.
